TalkBack is a featured rich comments and guestbook system. TalkBack is a featured rich comments and guestbook system that uses a mySQL database and is written in the PHP language.

Comments can be added to any pages on your website. It features Akismet comment spam detection, configuration options, visitor subscriptions, email notices, customizable templates, CSS styling, simple installation and easy yet powerfull administration.

Comments Processing
- Author name and email automatically filled in if poster is a returning visitor.
- Configurable time period before allowing another post.
- Javascript validation of required form fields for efficiency.
- Server side re-validation of form fields for security.
- Moderation triggered if: - Moderate all comments option is set. - Maximum number of links (configurable) is exceeded. - Akismet (if enabled) flags comment as spam. - Cannot connect to Akismet server. - A spam word appears in the comment.
- URL’s entered in comments are converted to hyperlinks.
- Email notice to new subscriber for subscription confirmation.
- Email notice to subscribers when a new comment is entered on page to which they are subscribed.
- Configurable time offset—assign your local time to comments instead of server time.
- Duplicate comment check.
- Banned IP check.
Administration
- Email notice to administrator if a database error occurs. Email notice to administrator when new comment is entered.
- Admin report panels: - Comments by page. - Recent comments (last n days). - Unapproved comments. - Spam comments (with delete all option). - Subscribers by email address or page. - Banned IP’s. - Edit, delete and reply actions for each comment. - Reply via email.
- Maintenance panels: - Configuration settings – customize comments layout - Optimize database. - Backup database. - Purge comments older than n days
